Lately I've been listening over and over to 6/16/74. The Eyes < Big River is amazing. Sweet, jazzy, and what a transition! Phil and BK are both just so on. (I guess everyone is, but they stand out to me.) Ditto the China < Rider, which would just melt the snow and ice right out of your 'hood ... although it might also collapse a few more roofs in the process.

The show isn't on the archives, but both of those are on the Wall of Sound RT (Vol 2 No 3) -- which is another axe-n-paste job (stop the mad slasher before he strikes again!), but at least they did pick some sparkling highlights. Albeit at the expense of the whole wonderful show. (Playin', Wharf Rat, GDTRFB, Truckin < Nobody's Jam, Deal, etc etc ...)

holy moly AR, weird coincidence but i've been playing that one a ton lately! been on a big summer '74 kick the past couple of weeks...and this is indeed a winner.

love the hot versions of Jack Straw, El Paso (one i don't rave about often) GSET, and Scarlet. Jer and Billy REALLY tear it on the China>Rider bridge! and of course there's that amazing jam out of Truckin'. maybe its not so weird after all, this show is great...
